Georgian-American High School Students Win Medals at International Conference of Young Scientists
From April 21-26, 2024, the Turkish city of Izmir hosted the 30th International Conference of Young Scientists (ICYS). The event saw the participation of 157 young individuals from 27 countries, including students from the Georgian-American High School and the Georgian-American School.
The talented students from Georgia achieved remarkable success, winning gold and silver medals in STEM and mathematics, a silver medal in the physics section, and three silver and three bronze medals in the poster category.
The ICYS provides an exceptional platform for school students to present their projects and research in the fields of mathematics, physics, computer science, and STEM. Since its inception in 1993, the conference has been held annually in various countries around the world. Georgia has been actively participating in this prestigious event since 2002 and has consistently secured prize positions.
