📢 GAHS and GAS at the Harvard Model Congress (Belgium, Brussels)! ✨

Updated: Apr 2

Georgian-American High School and Georgian-American School students are participating in the Harvard Model Congress in Brussels, the capital of Belgium!

Harvard Model Congress (HMCE) was founded in 1988 and is the world's largest civic engagement conference for high school students.

The conference is organized by Harvard University students and alumni.

Over the past 38 years, Harvard Model Congress (HMCE) has become the leading government simulation conference in Europe, bringing together more than 400 students from various countries each year.

The conference provides students with the opportunity to engage in debates on the most pressing contemporary issues and participate in simulations of global political processes.

Harvard Model Congress includes simulations of U.S. congressional committees and international organizations.

Our students are members of the following committees and organizations:

  • NATO

  • SENATE HELP

  • House SST

  • Media

  • G20

  • WHO

  • Historical Committee

  • World Bank

  • European Council

  • UNHRC

  • House Homeland

The conference will take place from March 14 to 17. Students will visit the European Parliament and explore other landmarks in Brussels.

This is yet another significant initiative in the field of non-formal education.

GAHS and GAS provide students with opportunities to participate in such projects, enhancing their public speaking, communication, and other essential skills.
