Turkey 2015
International Conference of Young Scientists 2015 – ICYS (International Conference of Young Scientists) was held 22nd times this year. Recently a conference has been hosted by the Turkish city of Izmir. 203 pupils from 28 countries participated in the project where the students presented their works in 5 sections.

Georgian-American and Georgian-American High School successfully participated in the united team and in the math section. The following students were awarded with gold and silver medals:

Jaba Jabauri-Silver.
Math and English teachers Ia Mebonia, Bela Koridze, Nugzar Papashvili have largely contributed to the above mentioned success.
The cultural program of the conference was brilliantly organized. The participants were impressed by Izmir sightseeings: the ancient city of Ephesus, (Artemis Temple was located here, which is included in the list of Seven Wonders of the World) and the House of Virgin Mary (it’s popular by pilgrims, including the last three visits by the Pope).
